The programming team this week made multiple strides forward. Start on a smaller 2 team map was started and the original map will be translated over to the 4 team map. The new dragon animations have been coming in and the team has been learning the more advanced animation system within Unreal. There has also been work on a main menu which better represents our game.
The art team also made a lot of progress. Another motion capture shoot has come and gone and with it a handful of new animations. Some of these are for a melee system which the programming team is currently working on implementing. Below is a very rough version of one of the melee combo attacks that we captured this past week. The dragon animations are also coming along great.
Besides animations, work on new islands has started so we have more variation throughout the map.
The main character has also gotten a makeover and now features more detailed facial features as well as more complex armour.
